PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid esters, often commercially known as "Tween", appear as yellow to amber viscous liquids, pastes or waxy solids (for example, Tween 20 is a liquid, Tween 60 is a paste, and Tween 85 is a viscous liquid) due to the different lengths of the fatty acid chain. They have no peculiar smell or a slight special odor. It is readily soluble in polar solvents such as water, ethanol and ethylene glycol, but poorly soluble in non-polar solvents such as mineral oil and vegetable oil.

Polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester (trade name "Tween") as a hydrophilic nonionic surfactant, with its emulsifying, solubilizing, dispersing and stabilizing functions, optimizes the taste and shelf life of food in the food industry, ensures the stability of preparations and drug absorption in the pharmaceutical field, and enhances processing performance and finished product quality in industrial production
