Vinyl methyl ether is an unsaturated ether compound with active chemical properties. It is a flammable gas at room temperature and has a special odor. Due to the presence of vinyl (-CH=CH₂) and methoxy (-OCH₃) in its molecular structure, it possesses the reaction characteristics of ethers and alkenes. It is a colorless flammable gas at normal temperature (25℃) and pressure, but can be liquefied into a colorless and transparent liquid at low temperatures or under pressure.
Product Usage
Vinyl methyl ether, as an unsaturated ether compound with active chemical properties, is mainly used as a polymerization monomer in the field of polymer materials. It is also used in organic synthesis to prepare fine chemicals such as ethylene glycol monomethyl ether. Additionally, it can serve as a raw material for drug carrier derivatives in the pharmaceutical field and is used in small amounts in scenarios such as fuel additives and low-temperature solvents.
